Aesthetically, the wrapper is of a Claro tonality. Silky smooth to the touch. Filling presents some small gaps, but they weren’t a problem in any of the tested examples.
Flor de Selva El Galan: the cold draw smells of hay and Carub, followed by light spices.
It opens up with peppery notes reaching the palate, together with balsamic hints that elates the very flavorful base.
The first third is full of sensations: beginning with spices, continuing with hay and balsamic hints. There are also some bitter notes perceptible. Wood, incense and floral aromas complete the aromatic palette and weaken the spices. Strength is medium (3/5).
The second third begins with notes of cream and vanilla, the roasted background is in parts followed by a balsamic sensation. Rich earthy and bitter notes cover the smoke, that moves on to more masculine falvors. Th spices are still perceptible. Strength stays constant (3/5).
The final third starts with hardwood, creamy notes and a strong balsamic sensation. Strength increases, climbing to medium full (4/5).
The finale is strongly balsamic and a little scorbutice, with the balance being on the razor’s edge.
Overall a smoke with a good intensity, that releases an interesting aromatic bouquet. The aromatic palette is good in amplitude and the smoke is very creamy.
